My first experience as a second shooter was initially very nerve wracking for me. When Gigi first reached out to me, I was an emotional wreck of excitement and nerves.
"Is she sure she wants me? What about so and so--they're more qualified!"
"But my style is so different!"
"What if I mess up?"
"Me?! What an honor!"
"Yahoo!!!!"
Were just some of the thoughts that swirled through my head.
I printed off everything from guidelines to timelines and researched the dos and don'ts of second shooting. I wanted to be prepared and the best representation of Gigi I could be!
When the wedding day finally rolled around and Gigi and I arrived on site, I was a little more at ease. I found it refreshing to be able to be a help to her and to watch her shine!
Gigi is one of the sweetest, most laid back persons I know. She was so kind and gentle, and I really admired the way she talked to Lauren, Wes, and the rest of the bridal party.
I learned a lot from watching her, and I'm excited to work with her again soon!
